Wheat Sooji Pongal
Ingredients
- Samba wheat sooji - 1 cup
- Split green gram (Passiparuppu) - ½ cup
- Pepper - a few
- Ginger -a small piece
- Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
- Curry seeds - 1 spring
- Oil - as required
- Cahew nut - a few
- Ghee - 1 tsp
Method
- Clean wash and cook 3/4th split green gram dhal.
- Heat oil in thick bottom vessel, add pepper, Ginger, cumin seeds, fry.
- Add 2 ½ glass of water and allow to boil.
- Then add ¾ cooked split green gram, stir well.
- Till thick and remove from heat and add ghee.
- Garnish with curry leaves and cashew nuts.
