Wheat Bonda
Ingredients
- Wheat flour - 5 cups
- Potato - 3 cups
- Green peas - 1 cup
- Coriander leaves and mint - 1 tsp
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder
- Cinnamon - 1 tsp
- Claves - 1 tsp
- Cardamom - tsp Roast and powder
- Sanuf (Fennel) - 1 tsp
- Poppy seeds - 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder - 1 tsp
- Kasseri powder - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
- Onion - 1
- Oil - for frying
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
Method
- Make a dough with wheat flour, salt, kasseri powder chopped Coriander leaves and mint leaves, oil and water (as required) Kneed well and allow for proof at least one hour.
- Boil potato and green peas.
- Mash potato and set aside.
- Heat oil in kadai, add onion, salt, turmeric powder chilli powder Coriander powder and garam masala powder fry well.
- Add mashed potatoes and boiled green peas.
- Make a chapatti in dough and place the masala’s in Center and cover.
- Fry in oil till golden brown remove from heat.
