Sooji Kitchedi (Rava Kitchaedi)
Ingredients
- Sooji (Rava) - 150 gm
- Bengal gram dhal - 1 tsp
- Black gram - 1 tsp
- Onion - 1
- Beans - 20 gm
- Carrot - 20 gm
- Green peas - 30 gm
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - a pinch
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Green chillies - 4
- Ghee - 50 gm
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Salt - to taste
Method
- Chop all vegetable.
- Fry sooji in dry Kadai till golden brown.
- Heat ghee in Kadai add mustard seeds then add black gram, Bengal gram, green chillies, chopped, curry leave, fry slightly.
- Add chopped onion and asafoetida fry well.
- Then add vegetable, salt cook and add chilli powder fry well.
- Then add double the quantity of water and allow boiling.
- Then add sooji (fried) stir continuously.
- Till water evaporates, stir well.
- Remove from heat and close the vessel leave for 10 minutes.
- The add sooji (fried) stir continuously.
- Open the lid and serve hot with chutney / samber.
