Samba Rava Vegetable Uppuma

Ingredients

  1. Samba rava                                         - 4 cups
  2. Onion                                                    - 3 (Chopped)
  3. Potato                                                  - 2
  4. Beans                                                    - 10
  5. Carrot                                                   - 1
  6. Tomato                                                 - 1 (chopped)
  7. Ginger                                                  - a small piece
  8. Oil                                                           - 3 tsp
  9. Mustard seeds                                  - 1 tsp
  10. Black gram dhal                                 - 2 tsp
  11. Bengal gram dhal                             - 2 tsp
  12. Curry leaves                                       - 1 spring
  13. Salt                                                         - to taste
  14. Ghee / Coconut oil                          - as required
  15. Green peas                                        - 10 gm (soaked)

Method

  1. Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, Bengal gram dhal Black gram dhal fry well.
  2. Add chopped onion, tomato and curry leaves.
  3. Cut a medium size cubes in the vegetables (Potato, Carrot and Beans) and salt.
  4. Add the vegetables in seasoned kadai add 1:2 ratio water.  Then add green peas.
  5. Allow to boil then add samba rava cook well at least 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and pour over the Ghee / Coconut of serve hot.

Note
If the green peas in hard cook in (or) boil it separately and add if the green peas are soft (Packed in vegetable shop) add Straight.
