Rice Kitchaedi

Ingredients

  1. Rice Soogji (Rice rava)                                    - 4 cups
  2. Thoor dhal / Red gram dhal                         - ½ cup
  3. Onion                                                                    - 100 gm
  4. Tomato                                                                 - 100 gm
  5. Green chillies                                                     - 1
  6. Cumin                                                                   - 2 tsp
  7. Cloves                                                                   - 3
  8. Sambar powder                                                                - 2 tsp
  9. Turmeric powder                                             - ½ tsp
  10. Beans                                                                    - 50 gm
  11. Potato                                                                  - 100 gm
  12. Carrot                                                                   - 100 gm
  13. Curry leaves                                                       - 1 spring
  14. Salt                                                                         - to taste
  15. Oil                                                                           - 30 ml
  16. Coriander leaves                                              - 2 springs

Method

  1. Clean, wash and cut vegetables in cubes.
  2. Chop, green chillies, wash rice sooji.
  3. Soak thoor dhal, chop onion and tomato.
  4. Heat oil in kadai, add cumin, cloves fry well.  Then add onion, tomato, curry leaves, Sambar powder, and turmeric powder fry well.
  5. Then add vegetable (Cubed) green chillies. Rice sooji and thoor dhan (soaked) add 1:3 ratio of water stir well.
  6. Add salt and allow cooking till rice cooked remove from heat.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with pappad.
