Ragi Idyappam
Ingredients
- Roast and powdered Ragi - 2 cup
- Coconut milk - 2 cup
- Carrot - 1 cup (Chopped)
- White channa - 1 cup (soaked one full night & cooked)
- Potato - 1 cup (Peel and cut)
For Grinding
- Onion - 1
- Coconut - 1 piece ( 3 pinch)
- Mint leaves - 1 small piece
- Ginger - 1 small piece
- Garlic - 6 flakes
Method
- Cook all vegetable in salted water.
- Heat oil in kadai, add seasoning ingredients cooked vegetables and ground masala, fry till the raw flavour goes out.
- Mix salt and coconut milk into the flour and make dough.
- Squeeze the dough into a idly plate and bake cook at least 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and decorate with vegetable masala.
- Squeeze the dough again upper layer in vegetable masala.
- Cook again 5 minutes and remove from heat and serve hot.
Note:
Layar formation is important make 1st layar idyappam 2nd vegetable and 3rd layer idyappam.
