Potato Khurma
Ingredients
- Potato - 100 gm
- Onion - 100 gm
- Tomato - 100 gm
- Ginger - 1 (1 Pinch piece)
- Garlic - 6 flakes
- Green chillies - 10
- Coconut - ½
- Cloves - 3
- Aniseed - 1 tsp
- Cinnamon - 2 pieces
- Cardamom - 2
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Oil - 5 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves - 2 springs
- Curry leaves - 2 springs
- Curd - 1 spoon full
Method
- Chop the, onion, tomato, coriander leaves.
- Grind ginger, garlic, green chillies, make a fine paste.
- Peel the potato cut in to small pieces grate the coconut and set aside.
- Grind the coconut, cloves, cinnamon, Aniseed and make a fine paste.
- Heat the fry the onion, ginger garlic paste till golden brown colour and add green chillies paste.
- Then add, turmeric and coriander powder with one cup of water mix well then add potato and allow it, to cook then add coconut paste.
- Cook in a slow fire, then add curd and stir well. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
