Masala Dosai

Ingredients

  1. Idly Rice                                               - 100gm
  2. Raw rice                                               - 100 gm
  3. Black gram                                          - 50gm
  4. Fenugreek                                          - 1 tsp
  5. Salt                                                         - to taste
  6. Oil                                                           - 100ml

For Masala

  1. Potato                                                  - 100gm
  2. Onion                                                    - 50gm
  3. Tomato                                                 - 50gm
  4. Ginger, garlic paste                         - 15gm
  5. Curry leaves                                       - 1 spring
  6. Coriander leaves                              - 1 tsp (Chopped)
  7. Green chillies                                     - 3
  8. Turmeric powder                             - 1 Pinch
  9. Mustard seeds                                  - 1 tsp
  10. Salt                                                         - to taste
  11. Oil                                                           - 50 gm

Methods

  1. Clean, soak and grind the rice.
  2. Soak and grind the Black gram and fenugreek together.
  3. Mix the batter with salt.
  4. Allow to ferment for 6-8 hours.

Method for Masala

  1. Chop the onion, tomato and green chillies.
  2. Clean, wash, cook and peel potatoes.
  3. Chop coriander leaves and curry leaves.
  4. Heat little oil in kadai, add mustard seeds and onion fry it well.
  5. Add ginger garlic paste, then add tomato turmeric powder Curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies fry well.
  6. Mash and add the potato in to the mixer, fry well if required add water and salt.
  7. Heat tawa pour the batter like dosa put one spoon masala into center and fold dosa dn serve hot.
