Mango chutney

Ingredients

  1. Mango                                                  - 1 (if sourced it’s so tasty)
  2. Coconut                                               - 1
  3. Green chillies                                     - 4
  4. Mustard seeds                                  - as required
  5. Black gram dhal                                 - a pinch
  6. Asafoetida                                          - a pinch
  7. Salt                                                         - to taste
  8. Oil                                                           - as required

Method

  1. Peel and cut mango in small pieces.
  2. Grate the coconut and cut green chillies.
  3. Grind together, mango, coconut and green chillies make a fine paste.
  4. Heat oil adds mustard, asafoetida, black gram and salt.
  5. Add mango and coconut paste cook well remove from fire.
