Alu Bonda
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 cup
- Potato (Boiled & Mashed) - 1 cup
- Green peas and carrot - 1 ½ cups
- Green chillies (Chopped) - 1
- Lemon juice - 1 tsp
- Bengal gram flour - 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Backing soda - ½ tsp
- Ginger (Chopped) - ¼ pinch piece
- Coriander leaves - 1 spring
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 5 tsp
Method
- Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, onion ginger, fry well. Then add carrot, green peas, and turmeric powder, salt, green chillies mix well.
- Cook in slow fire at least 10 minutes add mashed potato, coriander leaves, lemon juice, mix well and remove from heat.
- Dilute Bengal gram flour in water with oil 3 tsp, salt and Baking soda mix well.
- Make a ball in potato mixer.
- Dip the balls in diluted Bengal gram flour, water and fry in oil.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
