Akkara Vadasal
Ingredients- Raw rice - ½ 1 cup
- Milk - 2 cups
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - ¼ cup
- Kessari powder - a pinch
- Ghee - 1 tsp
- Cashew nuts - 1 tsp
- Sultana’s (Dry grapes) - as required
Method
- Fry rice in dry kadai.
- Pour milk in to a cooker add fried rice cook well.
- Heats used add sugar and ¼ cup water stir till sugar. Dissolves make syrup.
- Add kessari powder and stir well.
- Mix all in to rice stir well.
- Add chopped cashew nuts, sultanas (Dry grapes).
- If required add ghee and mix well.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
