Akkara Vadasal

  Ingredients
  1. Raw rice                                               - ½ 1 cup
  2. Milk                                                       - 2 cups
  3. Sugar                                                     - 1 cup
  4. Water                                                   - ¼ cup
  5. Kessari powder                                 - a pinch
  6. Ghee                                                     - 1 tsp
  7. Cashew nuts                                      - 1 tsp
  8. Sultana’s (Dry grapes)                    - as required

Method

  1. Fry rice in dry kadai.
  2. Pour milk in to a cooker add fried rice cook well.
  3. Heats used add sugar and ¼ cup water stir till sugar. Dissolves make syrup.
  4. Add kessari powder and stir well.
  5. Mix all in to rice stir well.
  6. Add chopped cashew nuts, sultanas (Dry grapes).
  7. If required add ghee and mix well.
  8. Remove from heat and serve hot.
