Wheat Sooji Pongal

Ingredients

  1. Samba wheat sooji                                          - 1 cup
  2. Split green gram (Passiparuppu)                               - ½ cup
  3. Pepper                                                                 - a few
  4. Ginger                                                                  -a small piece
  5. Cumin seeds                                                      - ½ tsp
  6. Curry seeds                                                        - 1 spring
  7. Oil                                                                           - as required
  8. Cahew nut                                                          - a few
  9. Ghee                                                                     - 1 tsp

Method

  1. Clean wash and cook 3/4th split green gram dhal.
  2. Heat oil in thick bottom vessel, add pepper, Ginger, cumin seeds, fry.
  3. Add 2 ½ glass of water and allow to boil.
  4. Then add ¾ cooked split green gram, stir well.
  5. Till thick and remove from heat and add ghee.
  6. Garnish with curry leaves and cashew nuts.
