Wheat Bonda

Ingredients

  1. Wheat flour                                                        - 5 cups
  2. Potato                                                                  - 3 cups
  3. Green peas                                                        -  1 cup
  4. Coriander leaves and mint                           - 1 tsp
  5. Coriander powder                                           - 2 tsp
  6. Chilly powder                                                    - 1 tsp

Garam Masala Powder

  1. Cinnamon                                                           - 1 tsp
  2. Claves                                                                   - 1 tsp
  3. Cardamom                                                          - tsp Roast and powder
  4. Sanuf (Fennel)                                                  - 1 tsp
  5. Poppy seeds                                                      - 1 tsp
  6. Black pepper powder                                     - 1 tsp
  7. Kasseri powder                                                 - a pinch
  8. Salt                                                                         -  to taste
  9. Onion                                                                    - 1
  10. Oil                                                                           - for frying
  11. Turmeric powder                                             - a pinch

Method

  1. Make a dough with wheat flour, salt, kasseri powder chopped Coriander leaves and mint leaves, oil and water (as required) Kneed well and allow for proof at least one hour.
  2. Boil potato and green peas.
  3. Mash potato and set aside.
  4. Heat oil in kadai, add onion, salt, turmeric powder chilli powder Coriander powder and garam masala powder fry well.
  5. Add mashed potatoes and boiled green peas.
  6. Make a chapatti in dough and place the masala’s in Center and cover.
  7. Fry in oil till golden brown remove from heat.
