Vermicelli Uppuma

Ingredients

  1. Vermicelli                                            - 100gm
  2. Black gram                                          - ½ tsp
  3. Bengal gram                                       - ½ tsp
  4. Mustard seeds                                  - 1 tsp
  5. Green chillies                                     - 2
  6. Cashew nut                                        - 15 gm
  7. Carry leaves                                       - 1 spring
  8. Salt                                                         - to taste
  9. Oil                                                           - 5 tsp

Method

  1. Heat oil in kadai, add mustard seeds, chopped silted green chillies, black gram, Bengal gram and curry leaves season it.
  2. Add vermicelli and fry till golden colour.
  3. Add 2 cups of water and salt simmer it.
  4. Stir continuously cook in slow fire.
  5. Add fried cashew nuts and mix well.
  6. Remove from fire serve hot.
