Vermicelli sooji vegetable (Kolukattai)

Ingredients

  1. Vermicelli                                            - 1 cup
  2. Sooji (Rava)                                        - 1 cup
  3. Coconut (Created)                          - 1 cup
  4. Vegetable                                           - 1 cup
  5. Water                                                   - 5 cup
  6. Oil                                                           - 2 tsp
  7. Green chillies                                     - 5 (Chopped)
  8. Ginger (Chopped)                           - ½ tsp
  9. Asafoetida                                          - ¼ tsp
  10. Curry leaves                                       - 1 spring
  11. Coriander leaves                              - 1 spring
  12. Mustarded seeds                            - ½ tsp
  13. Cumin                                                   - 1 tsp
  14. Black gram                                          - ½ tsp
  15. Salt                                                         - to taste

Method

  1. Roast vermicelli and sooji (Rava) separately.
  2. Heat oil in kadai, and mustard seeds, cumin, ginger, Black gram, asafoetida, green chillies, curry leaves and Coriander leaves fry well.  Then add 5 cups of water and Vegetable cook add salt.
  3. Allow to boil then add vermicelli cook at least 2 minutes.  Then add sooji (Rava) stir well and cook in a slow fire till.  The water extracts.
  4. Remove from fire and allow cooling.
  5. Make a ball in the mixer and bake like idly till cook.
  6. Remove from heat and serve hot.
  7. There is no need any accompaniments.
