Keerai Wheat Adai

Ingredients

  1. Wheat sooji / Kothumai ravai                     - 1 cup
  2. Green gram                                                        - ½ cup
  3. Red gram / Thoor dhal                                   - ¼ cup
  4. Bengal gram                                                       - ¼ cup
  5. Black gram                                                          - ¼ cup
  6. Arai keerai                                                          - ½ bunch
  7. Shallots (Onion small)                                    - 1 cup (chop)
  8. Chillies                                                                  - 4
  9. Ginger                                                                  - 1 piece
  10. Salt                                                                         - to taste
  11. Coconut oil                                                         - as required
  12. Pepper (Powdered)                                       - 1 tsp
  13. Aniseeds (Powered)                                      - 1 tsp

Method

  1. Soak wheat sooji (Kodhumai Rava) at least 2 hours.
  2. Soak green gram, black gram dhal.
  3. Soak Bengal gram and toor dhal.
  4. Grind wheat sooji (Kodhumai Rava), then add Bengal gram and Thoordhal grind more 5 minutes.
  5. Then add green gram and black gram, dhal grind well.
  6. Clean wash and chop araikeerai.
  7. Chop onion, green chillies, ginger.
  8. Add all things in to a batter, add pepper powder Aniseeds powder mix well.
  9. Heat tawa apply oil and pour the batter and make a adai, cook both sides.
  10. Remove from heat and serve hot.
